Things To Do & Places To Go

Living in Metro DC

The entire Washington DC Metro area is a growing region with a stable economy driven by government jobs, and continued business growth in both the public and private sector.  This continual growth has resulted in a wide ranging choice of new homes.  What isn’t located within your neighborhood or subdivision, is a short distance away somewhere else in the region: downtown DC, Northern Virginia or possibly Baltimore.   Professional sports, major universities and a multitude of museums, historic sites, theater and world class entertainment at venues such as the Kennedy Center and the Verizon Center are just a short distance away via major highway systems or the Metrorail.

Many areas just outside nation's capitol still boast pastoral charm, small town living and country estates and horse farms.  There are thriving urban communities within Washington, DC, as well as urban-like centers just over the border in places like Bethesda, MD.  The region has numerous clubs, restaurants, boutiques, shopping and quality entertainment.

There are also bustling suburban neighborhoods interspersed with grand estate homes and country club properties.  And throughout the area are many neighborhoods both established and newly developed with a wide range of housing options.

The greater Washington DC area is rich in history and cultural pursuits.  There are  well maintained public parklands, community recreation centers and Farmer's Markets.  There are many leisure time options in the area such as dancing at Glen Echo Park, summer concerts,  cultural festivals, annual events on the Mall, golfingequestrian sports, vineyards & wineries, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, skiing and motor racing.

Whatever your lifestyle Suburban Maryland and Washington DC can provide an option that will suit the way you want to live. My knowledge of the area will help you to identify which community is right for you.
