I also know that you went beyond the usual duties of a realtor by assisting my mother with preparing the house to move and making sure she understood and was comfortable with all decisions made regarding the sale. Sonha and I first met Emily Mintz at an open house. We were searching for our first house together as newlyweds. Being very familiar with the DC area and having individually bought and sold real estate, we were unsure of our need for a buyer’s agent. We decided to give Emily a try as she was an excellent listener, was on point with her advice, and wasn’t pushy.
As our dealings with Emily deepened, we became ever more appreciative that she was our real estate partner. By immediately seeing and bidding, we were able to purchase a terrific house at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a school and commuter friendly location for below the assessed value. The purchase was made without having to compete against other bidders even though it was a sellers’ market. Clearly, not all deals will be this sweet, but it was Emily’s experience, precision, and bidding skill that spotted and maximized our opportunity.
Emily and Long and Foster’s full service closing support was excellent. Inspections, financing, and other logistics went smoothly. Emily provided helpful guidance with respect to some improvements and alterations we were considering.
